DEEP THOUGHTS AT THE STUMP

Ah..The Stump is Stunned! It has been reported that Greenstump has gained another reader, thus bringing the grand total to five (actually 10 if you include the multi gender confused and sleazy personalities of our resident troll).

Of greater concern is our new reader actually agrees with the majority of the posts! Upon reflection, this is scary , we at the stump don't even agree with everything we write. Sheesh, get into double figure readership and the stump will have to learn to spell and other new age crap. (Ok but we still think VP Short Stuff is a complete loon but fun to read about).

Anyway..serious, life changing issues are developing at and around the stump at the moment. These developments causing considerable stress on which jalan one should take and ruining lifes little pleasures..Therefore not being God Botherers only one solution is left in the quest for answers..

Followed by large qauntities of cleansing ales here...

Oigal,

I wonder who lived on the land before that golf course was built. Soeharto, of course, was a big fan of golf. Many lands, according to the activists, were illegally cleared, compensation not paid, for the golf courses of Indonesia's powerful and wealthy. I see that even while you dance on Soeharto's grave, you enjoy the fruits of his regime.

Assmad,

That's actually an interesting point, one could even say lucid in your case. Although I am long way from Powerful or Wealthy..

I guess we all have to mave moral judgement calls every day..In Indonesia even more so..Me If I know something is owned by the brothers Grim or the vampires then I boycott it. Where possible, kinda tough to boycott a toll road.

Best and most moral option, probably not but then I am just a visiting Stump trying to do as little evil as possible along the way.

You on the other hand, despite being asked on mumerous occasions have yet to declare your conflict of interests when defending the indefensible...Still trouble sleeping at night huh..

Oigal,

As mentioned: no direct interests whatsoever. As mentioned, I help make Tutut richer by using the toll roads. I've used Bakrie-owned facilities (hard to avoid). I once gave a tip to a parking attendant at the Bimantara building (Bambang), as well as other daily transactions of life, including banking which has mostly changed hands. I have a BCA account.

My agenda: the Truth. Balance. Unspinning the history of Indonesia and the nations called "the Third World." Plenty of Southerners who still think Abe Lincoln was a war criminal. Check out the Blogs.

My other agenda is to just play my Ukuele all night long.
