Brrr..It's cold now?

In spite of the highest concentrations of carbon dioxide in the history of civilization, world temperatures have failed to warm the past 10 years. Ocean heat content is falling. World ice concentrations (Arctic and Antarctic combined) are higher than normal.

The 2001 forecasts by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (cited by Al Gore) have failed to capture the recent cooling, as the above graph indicates, suggesting that the carbon dioxide-atmosphere connection is more complex than some initially believed. A small but growing number of scientists are becoming concerned about global cooling due to the current unusually low solar activity and other geophysical factors.

Ah BUGGER IT...NOW I HAVE TO DIG UP THE POOL AND PUT IN A SAUNA...

Now unlike some the Stump pretend to know what the weather will belike in ten years, but when you point out to the rancid deep greens that real results don't show any global warming over last ten years, the reply is "that doesn't disprove our mantra" The Stump just wants to know what does?

Stump...

My guess is that there is a statistical reason for this and it might have something to do with averages.

My understanding is that global warming has taken a back seat to climate change as the scientists seem to now believe that while some places will be hotter other places will be colder.

Now, if some are hotter and some are colder then the net change should be close to zero. Therefore, average global / world temps over the last decade would appear to be relatively stable.

Then again...

I just don't know Rob,...although I do tend to side with the cynics coz its just more fun when you are presented with holier than thou types...
